How much is 1 RUB in TRY today?
At the last update (20:05 Tehran time) one Russian ruble is worth 0.6120 TRY at the world rate, and one TRY buys 1.63 RUB. Banks and international exchanges work from this rate; a cash exchange office adds its own margin, so its rate is usually a little worse.

Tehran rate vs. world rate
For comparison, on Tehran's free market the Russian ruble trades at 3,240 Toman and the Turkish lira at 5,288 Toman, which makes a Tehran rate of 0.6127 TRY, about the same as the world rate. The gap comes from supply and demand for each currency inside Iran: when travellers and traders chase the Turkish lira, it costs more in Tehran than abroad, and the other way round. For anyone moving money between the two countries, that gap is the real gain or loss of the exchange.
RUB/TRY over the last 30 days
Over the last 30 days the RUB/TRY world rate moved between 0.5782 and 0.6230, averaging 0.6056. The chart and the daily table on this page show the trend.
Exchanging lira in Turkey: what to check
Cash is usually cheaper to exchange at exchange offices (döviz bürosu) in busy shopping districts — in Istanbul, for example, around the Grand Bazaar — than at banks, airports and hotels, because their buy–sell gap is smaller. Before you exchange, compare the board with the world rate on this page: a gap of about one percent is normal; two or three percent or more is a reason to try the next office. When paying by card, choose to be charged in lira, not in your card's currency: with «dynamic currency conversion» the terminal uses its own, noticeably worse rate. The official reference of the day is the Central Bank of Turkey (TCMB) rate, though the cash market differs from it a little.
The Turkish lira on Iran's market
The Turkish lira is bought for trips to Istanbul and Van, border trade, tuition and residence costs. High inflation in Turkey keeps weakening the lira against the dollar, which is why its Toman price can fall even on days the dollar stands still.
About the Russian ruble
The Russian ruble has found its own market in Tehran with growing Iran-Russia trade, Iranian students in Russia and tourism between the two. Its Tehran rate can drift from the world rate, because ruble supply and demand in Iran are thin.
