Chinese yuan rate in Iran today
The yuan to Toman rate follows the dollar to Toman rate and USD/CNY. Multiply by ten for CNY to IRR. Importers usually pay Chinese suppliers through yuan remittances.
What is the yuan?
The yuan is the unit of China’s official currency, the renminbi. China is Iran’s largest trading partner and a large part of imported goods, machinery and raw materials is settled in yuan, which makes its price important for traders and importers.
How the yuan price in Toman is formed
The People’s Bank of China manages the yuan within a band against the dollar. The yuan in Toman is roughly the free-market dollar divided by USD/CNY. EZRate compares this formula with real yuan trades in the market.
What moves the yuan rate
- Iran’s free-market dollar.
- China’s currency policy and the USD/CNY rate.
- Import volumes from China and trade-settlement demand.
How EZRate calculates the rate
EZRate bots are members of active trading groups and channels and read their buy and sell messages every minute. Quotes that deviate from the market median by more than the allowed band (±1% by default) are discarded and a weighted median of the rest is published. When too few valid sources are available, the rate is flagged as “low sources” so you always know how reliable it is.
