Install EZRate as an app

No app store, tiny (under 1 MB) and always up to date: USD, gold and coin prices one tap away on your phone or computer.

iPhone & iPadiPhone & iPad — Safari
  1. Open EZRate in Safari.
  2. Tap Share ⬆︎ (bottom bar on iPhone, top on iPad).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Keep the name EZRate and tap Add; the icon appears on your home screen.
iPhone & iPadiPhone — Chrome, Firefox or Edge
  1. On iOS 16.4+: tap Share ⬆︎ next to the address bar (or in the ⋯ menu).
  2. Choose Add to Home Screen and tap Add.
  3. If it is missing, open this page in Safari and follow the Safari steps.
iPhone & iPadInside Telegram, Instagram…
  1. In-app browsers cannot install web apps.
  2. Tap ⋯ and choose Open in Safari / Open in browser.
  3. Then install with the steps for your browser.
AndroidAndroid — Chrome
  1. If the Install app button above is active, tap it and confirm Install.
  2. Otherwise tap the ⋮ menu at the top.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen and confirm.
AndroidAndroid — Samsung Internet
  1. If an install icon ⤓ shows in the address bar, tap it.
  2. Otherwise ≡ menu › Add page to › Home screen.
AndroidAndroid — Firefox, Edge, Opera
  1. Firefox: ⋮ menu › Install or Add to Home screen.
  2. Edge: ⋯ menu › Add to phone.
  3. Opera: ⋮ › Add to… › Home screen.
DesktopDesktop — Chrome & Edge
  1. Click Install app above, or the install icon ⊕ at the right of the address bar.
  2. Chrome: ⋮ › Cast, save and share › Install page as app.
  3. Edge: ⋯ › Apps › Install this site as an app.
  4. EZRate opens in its own window and appears in Start / Launchpad and the taskbar.
DesktopMac — Safari
  1. macOS Sonoma or later: File menu › Add to Dock.
  2. Or Share ⬆︎ › Add to Dock.
DesktopDesktop — Firefox
  1. Desktop Firefox cannot install web apps.
  2. Open EZRate in Chrome or Edge, or bookmark it (Ctrl/⌘ + D).

Questions

Price notifications? Price alerts (panel › Price alerts) arrive by e-mail and Telegram and work with the installed app too.

Updates? No, the app always opens the latest version.

Offline? Pages you viewed open, but live prices need a connection.

Remove it? Like any app: long-press the icon and choose Remove / Uninstall.
